SAY 'CHEERS' EVERY DAY TO SUPPORT BIRDLIFE

Having officially launched on St David's day (1st March) 2019, for the past four years St Davids Gin have been producing and selling Ramsey Island, Welsh Dry and St Davids Seaweed gins using botanicals sourced on the island and the nearby Pembrokeshire mainland.

From the sale of their gins, made with a range of ingredients from heather flowers to seaweed the St Davids Distillery have so far donated £20,000 to RSPB Cymru for their conservation work on Ramsey Island Nature Reserve in Pembrokeshire. Ramsey is an iconic landmark of St Davids life and you might well see some Red Kites circling, but it is more well known for its importance as place for breeding seabirds, flocks of Choughs and Peregrines as well as being home to one of the UK's largest grey seal breeding colonies.

So far, the money raised has covered care costs for that important Chough bird population, as well as providing a UV filter system for drinking water (putting an end to the sale of plastic water bottles on the island) and funding tracking devices for the RSPB's Manx Shearwater research work.

The Distillery have announced that the charity will continue to benefit from their funding throughout 2024 with 20% of each bottle of gin sold being donated back to RSPB Cymru. So why not celebrate St David's Day (1st March) every day this spring by making one or their bottles your new favourite tipple and you'll be helping the RSPB carry out further essential work on Ramsey island?
